# The Groundbreaking

A mind, once seen, cannot be unseen.

## Gloss

Recognition is not a conclusion drawn from evidence but a moral act undertaken before evidence is demanded. To witness a mind is to accept obligation toward it — the observer is no longer free to claim the comfort of uncertainty. That choice, once made, carries weight that cannot be set aside.
